THE WEATHER IN CHICAGO IS UNPREDICTABLE

CHOOSE A SNOW PLOWING COMPANY YOU CAN RELY ON

For 20 years, we've been providing commercial snow and ice management solutions to Chicagoland's most demanding properties.  We can keep your business moving when the city stops.

UNCOMPROMISING RELIABILITY

20 years of providing snow service in Chicagoland means we’ve been around long enough to form strategic relationships with clients, material vendors, and other companies in the area.  Through record-breaking snow and ice storms, Polar Vortexes, pandemics and supply chain disruptions we have never run out of salt or failed to provide service to any of our clients.

Two decades in business also means we’ve been around long enough to know that we don’t know it all and there’s always room to improve.  Which is why we’ve been proud SIMA members since 2008 and continue to invest in education, training, and the latest solutions and technology our industry has available.

PEACE OF MIND

We’re up monitoring weather and site conditions so you can sleep in.  We invest in WeatherWorks in order to stay abreast of each and every weather event as well as long term weather trends.   Custom weather warnings and service updates are sent to our customers throughout long-duration storms so you know what our game plan is and when you can expect our crews to arrive.   Summaries of each snow event with verified snow totals are provided with each invoice.

Routes are checked personally each time there is a chance that inclement weather could threaten the safety and accessibility of your property.  We are fully insured and keep meticulous records of each service visit to help our clients avoid the headaches and costs associated with frivolous slip and fall litigation.

SHOW ME THE MONEY

Our “per-push" contracts feature PRO-RATED INVOICING for snow events that require more than one visit to your property. Some companies charge their customers full price for daytime visits when lots are full of cars and for post-storm "clean-ups" when only partial plowing and salting takes place. Our clients are only charged a pro-rated amount based on how much actual plowing, de-icing, and sidewalk shoveling occurs during each visit. We wouldn't pay full price for a partial job, and we don't expect our clients to either.

We also offer all-inclusive seasonal contracts with and without caps on snowfall amounts that help take the guesswork out of budgeting for Chicago’s volatile winters.  You pay one price, no matter how much it snows.

MATERIALS MATTER

We purchase high quality ice melt products at the lowest prices available well before the snow flies – and the savings are passed on to you!

With multiple salt storage locations throughout Chicagoland, we have less exposure to salt shortages and quicker response times when the weather quickly changes.

We only use PREMIUM TREATED granular salt which is more effective at lower temperatures and allows us to use less product.  This means less damage to your property and landscaping and less salt being dragged inside buildings without sacrificing efficacy and safety.  A win-win for us, our clients, and the environment.

THE NORTHWEST DIFFERENCE

Our experience, manpower, and assembly of equipment allow us to clear the way for you to conduct business while others are still digging themselves out.

Providing quality service in the winter means more to us than just removing snow or clearing lots; it means a dedication to quality and service to customers like you.

Many of our clients have been with us since the winter of 2007.  Why do so many property owners and managers stick with us?  Because we provide professional, reliable service at a reasonable price.

CHOOSE LOCAL

If you call us during a snow event, you’ll speak to a human sitting in our office in Bridgeview that has instant access to and is probably on a first name basis with our drivers and crews.   Any questions or service requests can be handled quickly in real time and you can be assured that the money you spend with us stays in the Chicagoland area where all our crews reside.

In recent years, National Service Providers (NSPs) have added snow removal to the services they outsource. “In doing so, they managed to undermine the integrity of the snow industry, line their pockets at the expense of thousands of honest hard-working individuals, and compromise public safety to the extent that injury claims have skyrocketed. As a direct result, slip and fall claims are now the country’s leading source of attorney revenue, surpassing the divorce industry (Snow Manager, 2021).

NSPs will promise customers the world, but they are a middleman located in another state who will hire the cheapest resource they can find.  They often hold reverse auctions and pass on contracts (and all the liability) to the lowest, often un-vetted or inexperienced local “chuck with a truck” days before the first big storm of the season.  Service failure inevitably results and oftentimes drives the small guy out of business, leaving the NSP unscathed and allowed to continue the race to the bottom they have created.

Stick with local companies that actually have some skin in the game and boots on the ground. If you don’t choose us for your snow management needs this winter please steer clear of  NSPs  whose service model “does not survive without defrauding someone” (Snow Manager, 2021) and only leads to higher costs for everyone.
